Annual CTAUN Advisory Council

Members of the Gamma Alpha Chapter attended the Annual CTAUN Advisory Council to engage with updates on CTAUN, share ideas with Honorary Patrons and Advisors concerning the United Nations, and listen to the guest speaker, Ian Williams. This special event was carried out by Dr. Kathryn De Lawter, Chair, CTAUN Advisory Council, and took place at the Foundation for the Global Compact in New York City.

Mr. Ian Williams, a correspondent writing about the United Nations since 1989, reflected upon the contributions of four Secretaries General. In this new book entitled, “UNtold: The Real Story of the United Nations in Peace and War" (Just World Books, 2017), the author incorporated cartoons illustrated by Krishna and dedicated his text "To the peoples of the world who are still suffering the ‘scourge of war”. On behalf of all the CTAUN members, Kirsten Grünberg, a CTAUN and Gamma Alpha Chapter member painted a watercolor as a gift to Mr. Williams. The painting reflects an educator holding a strong - but fragile - crystal with the symbol of the United Nations.
