Gamma Alpha Meeting at Grand Central Library

For our Gamma Alpha Chapter meeting held on September 16, 2017 Joan Bruner-Timmons gave her final presentation, “Using the Cellphone for Teaching.” Joan asked members to form teams, and using their cellphones locate the answers to questions about Delta Kappa Gamma. The teams were asked to distribute the answers to the other teams using their cellphone. Joan reminded everyone there would be, “No inter-team communication by word of mouth!”

Some of the questions were:

In what month and year was Delta Kappa Gamma founded?

Give three purposes of Delta Kappa Gamma.

How many founders were there?

Can you paraphrase the Mission Statement of Delta Kappa Gamma?

How many Delta Kappa Gamma chapters are there in the State of New York?

How old is the New York State (Pi State) Chapter?

What is the Arizona State Sahuaro?

Where was the European Conference of Delta Kappa Gamma held?

2013 marks the first Asian Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma that was installed. Where is the Chapter located and how many members were initiated?

It was a most enjoyable afternoon following Joan’s directives and working with colleagues to become better informed about Delta Kappa Gamma!
